Between personal stories, effortless charm, and songs that blurred the line between diary and performance, Claire Rosinkranz turned Crescent Ballroom into an evening of genuine connection.

Bedroom-pop artist Claire Rosinkranz returned to Phoenix on her highly anticipated “My Lover” tour. After the major success of her 2020 hit “Backyard Boy,” Rosinkranz has maintained momentum, continuing to carve out her space as one of Gen Z’s current most promising voices. Fans of all ages gathered in the intimate Crescent Ballroom for an unforgettable evening full of heartfelt hits, pop perfection, and the incredible charm Rosinkranz exhibits.

Kicking off the evening was fellow indie-pop artist Stevie Bill, taking the stage with her edgy vibe. Sporting a black top, red leather shorts, and a waist chain, she was a fun, edgy contrast to what would soon be Rosinkranz’s set. The Dutch-English pop artist, best known for her 2023 hit “Hahaha,” brought a fun energy to the crowd the moment she stepped on stage. One standout moment of her set was her cover of Prince’s Purple Rain, helping to unite some of the older audience in the bleachers with the younger fans in general admission.

In no time, Rosinkranz took the stage, opening her set with “Lucy,” followed by one of her most popular songs, “Frankenstein.” Fans sang and watched the performance with stars in their eyes as Claire dazzled the audience with her strong vocals, relatable lyricism, and, of course, her iconic twirls. Dressed in a flowing white dress knotted in the center, Claire’s outfit perfectly complemented ethereal boho vibe of her “My Lover” era.

Continuing the set, Rosinkranz introduced her song Chronic, opening up to the audience about being diagnosed with a chronic illness and the impact it has had on her life. Vulnerable moments like this one resonated deeply with the audience, bringing both the artist and the audience together and connecting them on a deeper level.

Accompanying many of the songs on the set were deeply personal stories, such as the one she shared about track 12 of her Sophomore album, “Bleeding Violet”. Claire shared with the audience that her creative partner and  Father wrote the song, inspired by a family trip to Iceland. Hearing “behind-the-scenes” stories about the songs allowed the audience to connect even further with the music, and made the show feel like an experience.

In addition to her vulnerability with the audience, the overall stage presence truly made this show one to remember. Interacting with fans throughout the entire evening, sharing smiles with the crowd, and even handing out photos to the crowd (with a kiss on them, of course), allowing a few lucky fans to leave with the most cherished souvenir of the evening.

Closing the night with her hit song “Backyard Boy” and another fan favorite, “City,” the energy remained high through the end of the set. Though still early in her career, she dominated the stage like that of a seasoned professional. With a mix of her stage prescence, vulnerable storytelling, strong vocals and incomparable charisma, Claire is one artist you absolutely don’t want to miss.
