Deux Visages is a Miami-born band consisting of Daphney Hanono (lead vocals), Jack Chiu (guitar), and Tony Jouvin (bass), finding a much wider audience beyond the scene where they started. Touring the Northeast and West Coast has introduced the band to increasingly receptive crowds, while living and traveling together has tightened their chemistry onstage. That growth now runs alongside a shift in their music, heard on their new single “Always You” and the material surrounding it. The band describes the newer songs as heavier, fuller, and more intricate, pulling from shoegaze textures and fuzz-heavy guitar while still tracing back to the sound of earlier tracks like “Cheetah” and “Tethered.” Rather than pointing to one influence, the members bring different tastes into the room and let those ideas collide during the writing process.  

The new material also arrives during a major change behind the scenes. After signing with Pure Noise Records, Deux Visages said the experience has been “night and day” compared with their previous label, crediting Pure Noise and new manager JD with giving the band stronger support as they prepare their next project. Much of that music was recorded in Miami with longtime producer and collaborator Arquimides "Arqui" Cala Jr., whom the band jokingly called its “secret fifth member.” Two songs were largely written and completed during the sessions themselves, with the band experimenting until the pieces came together. For Deux Visages, the resulting record feels like a return to what they do best—only heavier, denser, and shaped by everything they have picked up since those earlier releases.
