On September 4, 2021, the Pop Punk’s Still Not Dead Tour rolled into Tempe, Arizona, setting The Marquee Theatre ablaze with a lineup that celebrated the genre’s enduring spirit. Headlined by New Found Glory, with support from Less Than Jake and Hot Mulligan, the night was a testament to pop punk’s resilience and its passionate, multigenerational fanbase.

Hot Mulligan kicked off the evening with a high-energy set that immediately connected with the crowd. Their blend of emo-laced pop punk resonated through tracks like “Equip Sunglasses” and “Digging In,” capturing the chaotic yet heartfelt energy that defines the band's appeal. The Michigan group’s unfiltered lyrics and infectious melodies had the audience moving early, setting a strong tone for the rest of the night and proving why they are quickly becoming one of the genre’s modern torchbearers.

Following Hot Mulligan, ska-punk veterans Less Than Jake took the stage and brought a jolt of pure, unfiltered fun to the room. Opening with “Automatic,” the band stormed through a lively set that included essentials like “Johnny Quest Thinks We're Sellouts,” “The Science of Selling Yourself Short,” and “All My Best Friends Are Metalheads.” Their signature horn section and animated stage antics had fans dancing, moshing, and singing along, keeping the energy high and reminding everyone why Less Than Jake has remained a beloved institution for decades.

Headliners New Found Glory closed out the night with a powerhouse performance that spanned their extensive catalog. Launching into “Understatement” as the theater lights dimmed, the band wasted no time turning The Marquee into a frenzy. Crowd favorites like “All Downhill From Here,” “Dressed to Kill,” and “Happy Being Miserable” ignited massive singalongs, while selections from their then-new album Forever + Ever x Infinity — including “Greatest of All Time” and “Stay Awhile” — were embraced with equal enthusiasm. With tireless energy and an undeniable connection to their fans, New Found Glory proved once again why they remain one of pop punk’s most enduring forces.

The Pop Punk’s Still Not Dead Tour stop in Tempe wasn’t just a nostalgic night out — it was a celebration of a genre that refuses to fade away. With performances that honored the past while embracing the future, New Found Glory, Less Than Jake, and Hot Mulligan made it clear that pop punk is alive, thriving, and still inspiring new generations.
